620 Collective is a modern industrial event space at 3772 Portland Rd NE in North Salem. You'll find black walls, exposed beams, Edison bulbs, a lounge and library full of antiques, and rooms you can set up for 20 to 150 guests. We recently brought our DJ setup and a ring-light photo booth here for a packed 60th birthday. This guide comes from our hands-on experience. We've run casino parties and other events at 620 Collective, too. Here's how the room works, what the venue includes, and who to email to book it.
How we work 620 Collective
DJ on the main wall, booth beside it
The long black wall under the Edison bulbs is where we set up. Our DJ setup goes on one side and your photo booth and backdrop go on the other, so your dance floor and booth line share the same light and energy. That's how we set up for the 60th birthday party.
Uplighting for black walls and wood beams
Dark walls eat light. A few uplights in your colors along the main wall and up the beams give the room a glow without fighting the Edison bulbs, and the dance floor reads great on camera. Pick a color and we match it to your decor.
Sound sized to the rooms you use
620 Collective splits into up to six private spaces, with a library, a bar, and breakout rooms off the main room. We confirm the floor plan with you ahead of time and put sound where the guests are, full rig for the dance floor and a smaller speaker in the lounge if you want music everywhere.
Props table by the booth, prints in hand
We put a skirted prop table next to your photo booth with hats, glasses, and boas. You can use the venue's black wall or choose one of our backdrops. The color-burst backdrop from the 60th looked great in this light. Your guests leave with prints and a text copy of their photos.
Load-in off Portland Road, set before guests
The venue has on-site parking. We confirm our loading route and setup window, then sound-check before your guests arrive. Since 620 Collective is local to us in Salem, there's no travel fee for your DJ, photography, video, photo booth, planning, or event coordination. Travel for casino and arcade rentals is minimal, and we'll show it in your quote.

How to book 620 Collective
The venue and the entertainment are two separate bookings. Here is the venue side, pulled from 620collective.com in November 2026, so confirm the details with Rachel when you tour.
Email Rachel and tour the space
Rachel handles bookings at rachel.620collective@gmail.com, or call 971-388-5999. The venue recommends a tour before you book, and the library and bar are worth seeing in person.
Pick a half day or a full day
Rentals run half day, four hours or less, or full day, up to ten hours, seven days a week. A full-day booking is exclusive, no other event or tour in the building that day. Rates change by season, and the current numbers are on their pricing page.
Plan on the deposit and insurance
The venue takes a refundable $500 security deposit at booking and asks for a certificate of event insurance. Tables, chairs, TVs, Wi-Fi, and cleaning are included in the rental.
Line up food and bar
There is no in-house caterer. Use one of the venue's partner vendors or get an outside vendor approved ahead of time, licensing included. The common area has a large bar and kitchen. Confirm the venue's current bar-service rules with Rachel before hiring a bartender.
Send us the date
Once you've held the room, choose your packages online or send us your date and we'll check it. Tell us which rooms you're using and what you'd like your guests to do. We'll help you plan the setup.
